Combined effects of root-associated entomopathogenic and mycorrhizal fungi on the foliar pathogen Botrytis cinerea in tomato

چکیده
• Entomopathogenic fungi (EPF) reduced foliar disease symptoms in tomato plants. Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AMF) only affected plant growth, not disease. Fungal combinations showed functional complementarity for protection and growth. Effects were independent of root colonization pattern. Root inoculation by EPF decreased presence AMF, while AMF was unaffected EPF. Many live intimately associated with plants may benefit or harm the host plant. Improved knowledge such interactions is needed increasing health crop productivity implementation fungal inoculants. Co-inoculations different beneficial offer possibility to understand complex plant–microbe that be functionally complementary improved production protection. Here, we studied individual combined effects arbuscular fungus Funneliformis mosseae three isolates entomopathogenic (EPF), representing Metarhizium brunneum , M. robertsii Beauveria bassiana on against phytopathogen Botrytis cinerea Seedlings ( Solanum lycopersicum L. var. Moneymaker) inoculated substrate alone dual under greenhouse conditions. Inoculation lesion sizes B. leaves, but experimental repetition highest level severity. The F. had no additional effect size In least severity, treatment led limited increase sizes. general, caused an biomass, co-inoculations did some Below-ground between observed, as roots a decrease densities. However, rates presence. study indicated suppressing phytopathogens respectively. it further revealed challenge obtaining consistent results plant–microbe-phytopathogen interactions, which must overcome future inoculants production.

Entomopathogenic Fungi as Dual Control Agents against Both the Pest Myzus persicae and Phytopathogen Botrytis cinerea
The green peach aphid (Myzus persicae), a plant pest, and gray mold disease, caused by Botrytis cinerea, affect vegetables and fruit crops all over the world. To control this aphid and mold, farmers typically rely on the use of chemical insecticides or fungicides. However, intensive use of these chemicals over many years has led to the development of resistance. To overcome this problem, there ...

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
on translation of politeness strategies in dialogues involving female characters in translations and retranslations of novels translated before and after the islamic revolution of iran and their effects on the image of women: a polysystem theory approach
abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...

In agricultural ecosystems, pest insects, pathogens, and reduced soil fertility pose major challenges to crop productivity and are responsible for significant yield losses worldwide. Management of belowground pests and diseases remains particularly challenging due to the complex nature of the soil and the limited reach of conventional agrochemicals. Boosting the presence of beneficial rhizosphe...
